Nepal is a least-developed country, so garments cut and sewn here enter the EU, UK, Canada and Japan at 0% import duty — even when the fabric is imported. Brief & quote
Share your tech pack, designs or a reference, with target quantities. We confirm fabric, fit and what’s buildable, and reply with MOQ, price and lead time — usually within 24 hours.

Pattern & CAD
Our Optitex CAD team drafts and grades the pattern and builds an efficient marker — cleaner fits, less fabric waste.

Step 3 · Day 7–14
Sample & approval
We make your pre-production sample to spec and revise until you sign it off. Nothing cuts to bulk before you approve.

Step 4 · Week 3–4
Source & cut
Fabric and trims are sourced and inspected, then cut to the approved consumption. Every bundle gets a QR ticket.

Step 5 · Week 4–7
Sew & inspect
Sewn on our 150+ machine knit line under in-line checks, then a final AQL 2.5 inspection. Your third-party inspector is welcome.

Pack, document & ship
Ratio-packed and carton-marked to your spec, with commercial invoice, packing list and the REX statement on origin for 0% duty. Sea via Kolkata / Visakhapatnam, or air.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard minimum is 1,000 pieces per style and colour, with flexibility agreed per programme. Send your spec and target quantity and we’ll confirm MOQ, price and lead time — usually within 24 hours.
How long do sampling and bulk production take?
Pre-production samples take 7–14 days after we review your tech pack. Bulk production takes 40–50 days after sample approval, depending on fabric and quantity.
Is clothing made in Nepal really duty-free?
Into the EU (EBA), UK (DCTS), Canada (LDCT), Japan and several other markets, yes — garments cut and sewn in Nepal enter at 0% import duty while Nepal holds least-developed-country status, even when the fabric is imported. Nepal’s graduation is scheduled for 24 November 2026, with a transition period after it; see our duty-status page for the current position. The United States is not duty-free.
Are you REX registered?
Yes. We are registered in the EU’s REX system, so our statement on origin goes on your invoice and you claim 0% duty at import. Buyers who confirm their email can view our REX number and verify it on the European Commission’s official database.
Do you print and embroider?
Decoration — screen print, embroidery and appliqué — is arranged through trusted partner decorators and coordinated by our team within your lead time. Our own floor is cut-and-sew.
Where does your fabric come from?
Mainly from mills in China, with OEKO-TEX-certified fabric available on request. You can also nominate your own mill. Cutting and sewing happen in our factory in Gaindakot, Nepal.
How do you ship from a landlocked country?
Landlocked, not locked out. Nepal’s transit treaty with India gives our cargo sealed passage to the ports of Kolkata/Haldia and Visakhapatnam, by road or rail; from there it sails to your port — roughly 6–8 weeks from our gate to Europe. Samples and urgent orders fly from Kathmandu in about a week. We quote EXW Gaindakot, FOB Kolkata for sea, or FCA Kathmandu for air (FOB is a sea-only term). How shipping works.
